Amalia and Becky have been good friends for years. After playing together in the Central District Orchestra, the two continued to keep in touch and were reunited at UMass Amherst where they have both just completed their freshman year. They currently share a locker at the Fine Arts Center, dressed up as bunny rabbits together for Halloween, and will be rooming together this fall.

Amalia Etedgee, originally from Worcester, is a music performance major at UMass Amhert with a concentration in flute. She was a member of the Central District Orchestra for two years, as well as the Worcester Youth Symphony Orchestra. Amalia was also a member of the All-State Band for two years that performed at Symphony Hall in Boston. She is currently a member of the UMass Wind Ensemble.

Becky Ploof, Quabbin Regional High School class of 2004, is presently a Commonwealth College student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she is a political science major and music minor. She has performed with such ensembles as Central District Orchestra, the UMass Amherst Honor Band, Amherst College Flute Choir, and is currently a member of the UMass Symphony Band.
